The Er:YAG crystal is a high - quality crystal material that emits laser light with a wavelength of 2.94μm. The 2.94μm wavelength is at the absorption peak of the hydroxyl group (-OH), which can be strongly absorbed by biological tissues. It is widely used in laser medical systems and other fields. The Er:YAG crystal is the most important working material for 3μm lasers. It has a high slope efficiency, can operate at room temperature, and its laser wavelength is within the range of the eye - safe band. This crystal has been widely used in the medical field, such as in surgical operations, dermatological aesthetics, dental treatments, and medical blood collection.
